DESCRIPTION OF YOUR JOB

We are currently looking for a Customer Officer for our Northern Europe Sales Area, based in Belgium. In this position you will take care of a portfolio of existing customers located in the UK and the Republic of Ireland.

Your responsibilities:

  • Build and develop a strong relationship with designated customers and prospects by giving them proper sales and technical information
  • Handle the administrative tasks related to your activities (quotations, feed the CRM, …)
  • Proactively contact your customers to meet their sales and technical expectations
  • Give support to organize and coordinate the business trips of your colleagues
  • Organize the meetings of your customers visiting BEA’s premises and participate in these meetings.

The Customer Officer UK – Ireland reports to the Head of Area and closely works with the Area Sales Managers and Technical Advisors to reach the defined targets.

We are looking for an Area Sales Manager for our Northern Europe Sales Area, based in Belgium.

The Northern Area is divided in two sales regions: (1) Scandinavia & Baltics; (2) Benelux – UK & Ireland.

Your mission

As Digital Services Manager you are the key person in the company monitoring the security and the sustainable operation of the digital services provided to the customers.

You ensure the customers support on the field or remotely and you take benefit from that experience to initiate a continuous improvement of the BEA offer in terms of products and services.

You maintain a clear vision of all technical aspects related to ongoing connectivity needs. You monitor the projects and are accountable of ensuring their maintenance using either internal or external resources.

Your activities

Within the Corporate R&D Department, after in-depth technical training about BEA connected products, your activities are:

    • You daily monitor the cloud based system and connected product operation.
    • You track and identify the occurrence of attacks or attempts of attack. You consequently apply the adequate “state of the art” actions.
    • You execute the internal security procedures. You coordinate the required actions with the different services, business units and external partners.
    • You permanently monitor the security IT trends and you keep your technical knowledge aligned with the “state of the art”.
    • You support the Product Manager and the design teams in the security compliance processes applicable to connected product design or act as the external security auditor.
    • As member of the Security Group, you participate in the definition of the security policy that will ensure a safe operation of the BEA digital solutions.
    • You manage the official BEA market place accounts (App store and Google play).
    • You authorize the update of the cloud solution and IoT devices upgrade.
    • Thanks to your proximity with the markets through your support function, you are a key interface between the market needs and the Product Manager.
    • You play the role of adviser to the different services and BU of the company to inform and train them in the different processes related to the data services execution.
    • In collaboration with the purchase department, you manage the external third parties to obtain the goods and services required to fulfil the needs linked to BEA connected solutions.

Your skills and competencies

    • You have an industrial or civil engineering degree or a degree in IT.
    • You can demonstrate proven track records in IT systems with, ideally, knowledge of the different environments used in our solutions (Linux, Azure, DotNet, Java, iOS, Android, …)
    • You are familiar with IT security standards.
    • An experience in IoT world is a plus.
    • You have thorough knowledge of English and French (written and oral).
    • You are analytical, methodological, proactive, rigorous, precise and stress resistant.
    • You can easily communicate with different teams in a worldwide geographic organization.

YOUR MISSION

As Product Maintenance Team Leader you are the key person in the company, with your team, to ensure the sustainability of BEA products.

You ensure the long-term lifetime of existing product by updating and maintaining them on a regular basis. You oversee cost reduction programs with the Purchase Department. You also take care of keeping these products compliant to the evolution of the market regulation. Finally, you also support the production in bringing in products modifications that will increase the manufacturing processes.

YOUR ACTIVITIES

Within the Corporate R&D Department, after in-depth technical training about BEA products, your activities are:

    • You daily manage a team of peoples dedicated to Product Maintenance.
    • You help to track, identify and anticipate the occurrence of any potential issue which could occur to an existing product (component obsolescence, software bug, software improvement, mechanical issues). You consequently apply the adequate modifications to the product and ensure it still fulfils the BEA quality standard without any impact for our customers.
    • When modifying a product, you execute the internal development procedures. You coordinate the required actions within your team but also with the different services, business units and external partners.
    • You support the Purchase Department to put in place cost reduction program within the BEA product portfolio.
    • You support the Production Department to increase the manufacturing process efficiency.
    • You support the Product Compliance Manager and R&D team to ensure that existing products stay compliant with the latest version of norms and standards applicable to our markets.

YOUR SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

    • You have an industrial or civil engineering degree in electronic, software or mechanics.
    • You can demonstrate proven track records in product development or product maintenance. An experience with optics is a plus.
