DESCRIPTION OF YOUR JOB

We are currently looking for a Customer Officer for our Northern Europe Sales Area, based in Belgium. In this position you will take care of a portfolio of existing customers located in the UK and the Republic of Ireland.

Your responsibilities:

  • Build and develop a strong relationship with designated customers and prospects by giving them proper sales and technical information
  • Handle the administrative tasks related to your activities (quotations, feed the CRM, …)
  • Proactively contact your customers to meet their sales and technical expectations
  • Give support to organize and coordinate the business trips of your colleagues
  • Organize the meetings of your customers visiting BEA’s premises and participate in these meetings.

The Customer Officer UK – Ireland reports to the Head of Area and closely works with the Area Sales Managers and Technical Advisors to reach the defined targets.

YOUR SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

After in-depth and continuous technical and sales trainings, common skills and attitudes are:

  • Ability to understand customer’s needs and demands, and put these into a global context
  • Ability to develop appropriate sales argumentation
  • Clear team-playing attitude to efficiently exchange with colleagues or seek valuable information within the team
  • A positive, good-willing and confident spirit
  • Readiness to have and share fun !

Our Customer Officer UK – Ireland will also bring:

  • a first experience as Customer Officer or similar role
  • sound sales and communication skills
  • a rigorous, organized and flexible attitude
  • curiosity and empathy.

Languages

A very good level of English (spoken and written) is expected. Knowledge of Dutch could be an asset.

We are looking for an Area Sales Manager for our Northern Europe Sales Area, based in Belgium.

The Northern Area is divided in two sales regions: (1) Scandinavia & Baltics; (2) Benelux – UK & Ireland.

Depending on your profile your main task will be to maintain & develop current business of one of the two regions. You will also be responsible to identify opportunities, develop and close sales in BEA’s main segments of activity.

As an Area Sales Manager you will closely work with the Customer Officers and Technical Advisors to reach the defined targets. You will report to and work in collaboration with the Head of Area to define the adequate sales strategy for your region.

YOUR SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

After in-depth and continuous technical and sales training, common skills and competencies are:

  • Ability to understand customer’s needs and demands, and put these into a global context
  • Ability to develop subtle, dedicated and oriented sales argumentation
  • Clear team-playing attitude to efficiently exchange with colleagues or seek valuable information within the team
  • Readiness to stretch your comfort zone, because learning is a continuous process
  • A positive, good-willing and confident spirit
  • Readiness to have and share fun !

As an Area Sales Manager Northern Europe you will also:

  • bring a first experience as Area Sales Manager or similar position
  • maintain and develop sales with existing customers, stimulate partnerships with key accounts and OEM’s
  • identify and convert sales opportunities
  • be able to implement a strategic business plan based on current BEA’s analysis and conclusions in a given segment
  • share your knowledge (learned in house) with sales and/or technical staff of our customers during dedicated training sessions
  • spend 20 to 40% of your working time abroad, in your dedicated area, to share the BEA message
  • be comfortable with figures, statistics and presentations.

Languages

A very good level of English (spoken and written) is expected. Dutch and any other Scandinavian language is a plus (not a must).
